Evidence of God

Is all you want evidence of god?

Is that all you want?

The thing is, you need to do your own due diligence on the matter. I don’t really think a christian owes an atheist evidence, proof or a picture post card of god, when all they claim is belief believe in god.

Its much the same as the flat earth people back in the day. They didn’t just wake up and say hey ok its now round earth days… Somebody proved it to be false and everybody moved on…. A small group never got together and pissed and moaned crying for proof the world was flat did they? NO somebody falsified the flat earth claim, that’s how it’s done. Due diligence. The world owed no burden of proof to the anyone. Same thing still holds true today.

If I put a spot of black paint on a white canvas and call the picture “Polar bear in a snow storm” do I need to prove it? You might not agree but does it make me wrong? NO i created it I can call it poop on a snow covered field if I like.

Now I don’t know if there is a god… but I do know, you don’t know either.

Theism is a belief in god not a claim of existence. Theism is a belief in god not a claim of existence. Theism is a belief in god not a claim of existence. Got that? Just like Atheism is a belief there is no god not a claim of existence. We on the same page?

A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent’s position.

Example Theist: There is a god.

Atheist: If there is a god prove it, and if you cannot prove it, then there is no god. I know you cannot prove it, therefore there is no god.

Problem: The Atheist has misrepresented the Theists claim by falsely suggesting that the theist claimed that he had no proof that god exists, and then The Atheist refuted the misrepresented version of the claim, rather than refuting the theists original assertion.

Then often times Theists say there is a god. So theists make the assertion so they must provide evidence. Which allows the Atheists to avoid refuting the original assertion. Which of course they cannot do.

If you want evidence collect some on your own and present it to falsify god and we can move along in good order. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Even an agnostic like me knows that much.
